Fashion and Design
Take a look above to see examples of what can be made in this class. These images are of students' and tutors' work.
Spend a day using fabric and fibre to create colourful statement jewellery that is lightweight and cost effective. It is also a great way to use leftover fabric or recycle materials.
All the jewellery in this class can be made with hand sewing techniques and doesn’t require any specialised equipment.
Techniques covered in this class include:
Making felt beads and canes from wool fleece
Choosing and preparing fabrics
Creating flowers and rosettes
Adding beads and buttons
Working with zips
Building up elements into a statement necklace.
And much more...
Whether you come from a sewing or a jewellery background or are an absolute beginner, this is a fun and creative day when you can use a series of techniques to let your imaginations take flight.
The day runs from 10am - 5pm and we fit in lots of projects so that you really get value for money out of the day, most students make at least 2-3 pieces of finished jewellery to take home.
