Add colour and design to your silver and copper jewellery with enamel.
Enamelling fuses particles of glass to the surface of metal to create a wide range of colour and pattern effects. In this beginners class, you will explore the possibilities of enamel and produce a range of sample pieces.
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Preparing metal for enamelling
- Sifting techniques and stenciling
- Enameling onto copper and silver blanks
- Wet Packing (grinding enamel and applying it onto the metal) and much more...
Throughout the day, you will be able to make 2-3 lovely pieces of jewellery using the copper and silver blanks provided. At the end of the day, you will come away with lots of new ideas and inspiration for future designs.
