How would you spend £1000 on your jewellery business?
What would you spend £1000 on for your jewellery business? Training? A new website? A big trade show? Gemstones? Staff? Professional photos?
Well now is your chance to apply for JewelFund!
Our founder Jessica Rose set up JewelFund in 2018 to provide funding opportunities for jewellers and she will be awarding two grants of £1000 to jewellers this year. These are grants not loans, they don't need to be paid back. Jessica will be choosing one person who has been in business for under 3 years and one who has been in business for 3 years or more.
‘Having launched jewellery businesses myself, I know what it takes to get started. Alongside support, training and lots of hard work, sometimes we need a cash injection to afford the bigger trade shows, pay for equipment, rebrand or cover new expenses while we expand.
I set up this fund in 2018 as a way to give back to the industry I have built my career in and support others building their own businesses. I enjoyed mentoring Rachel Whitehead and Zoe Porter, the JewelFund 2018 recipients, last year and I’m looking forward to the opportunity of working with more ambitious jewellers this year’ Jessica Rose.
Any jeweller can apply who is over the age of 16 and where £1000 will make a substantial difference to their business. Pre-business jewellers may apply but will need to submit a business plan alongside their application. The deadline for applications is 31st July 2019.
