Jewellers take a trip to London
London may be buzzing with the Paralympics but that’s not the only international event bringing visitors to the city in the next few days.
International Jewellery London 2012 is running at Earl’s Court between 2nd and 5th September. This is a trade event showcasing jewellery from over 30 countries.
As well as being somewhere to see the latest jewellery trends, the show features Bright Young Gems a selection of up and coming designers selected by fashion editors and industry experts.
And Kickstart a commercial platform for 10 special selected new jewellers to showcase their wares to retailers.

Unfortunately the event is only open to people already working in the jewellery sector but it is well worth having a look at the website to see the featured designers and read veteran fashion guru Hilary Alexander’s guide to this winters fashion trends – think big, think brooches.
And if you have managed to get a ticket to the show or are working on a stand, London Jewellery School wants your reviews and mini trend reports. You can leave a comment below telling us about your show highlights or post a link to your own blog about the show.
