Jewellery Making in a Material World
There’s a must-have book for anyone interested in crafting and handmade hitting the shops this week, in time for the Christmas market, and it has a mention of the London Jewellery School.
Journalist and sometime craft writer for The Guardian Perri Lewis’ Material World has been dubbed the “modern craft bible”. It contains “how to sections” on jewellery, macramé, millinery and leatherwork, amongst others, along with tips and ideas from designers such as Tatty Devine. And some great advice such as buying high street jewellery in the sales for “the parts” and refashioning them into your own look.
Plus it recommends LJS for learning jewellery skills.
Material World is out now published by Virgin, £18.99.
