Kirstie Allsopp and London Jewellery School team up for a handmade extravaganza
London Jewellery School will be providing the jewellery making expertise at September’s giant craft event, The Handmade Fair presented by Kirstie Allsopp.
The three day event, 19-21 September, at Hampton Court is a little different to usual craft shows. As part of the ticket price every attendee has access to a skill workshop, takes part in a “grand make” and has a session with a star of the making world in the Super Theatre as well as plenty of time to shop and enjoy the food stalls.
The skills workshops include papercraft, textiles, upcycling, food decoration and, of course, jewellery. The jewellery tent will feature London Jewellery School tutors teaching our signature wire cocktail rings and chandelier earrings as well as memory wire beaded bracelets as a quick make.
But we’ll all be hoping that we get a chance to check out the other tents including the two grand makes – gift wrapping and excitingly pompom making to beat the world record for the longest line of pompoms – and the talks in the Super Theatre which include an expert from the V&A, designers such as Cath Kidson, and sessions on using Pinterest and Etsy (follow the links to find out more).
But most of all we’re looking forward to sharing the love of jewellery making with 100s of new people and meeting lots of handmade fans – hopefully we’ll see you there.
