London Jewellery School Director, Jessica Rose shortlisted for ‘Spirit of London Award’
London Jewellery School Founder and Director Jessica Rose is one of the three shortlisted entrepreneurs up for the 2011 Spirit of London Awards in the category of young business entrepreneur.
The Spirit of London Awards also dubbed as the ‘Community Oscars’ was set up in 2009 by the Damilola Taylor Trust in order to address the imbalance in the way young people were perceived due to a small minority who create negative media headlines.
This years award ceremony will take place on 10th October at the Royal Albert Hall co-hosted by former x-factor favorite Stacey Solomon joined by a whole range of stars with performances from Tinchy Stryder, Katy B and London street dance troupe Diversity to name a few.
The judges for Jessica’s category are none other than dragons den star Theo Paphitis, Shadow Business & Enterprise Minister Chuka Umunna and MP and minister for work and pensions Chris Grayling – so lets hope they like jewellery
On Monday 19th September Jessica will be attending an event with the Prime Minister at Number 10 Downing Street with all the finalists and she will of course be attending the award ceremony where a short video on how she set up the jewellery school will be shown to the 5,000 strong audience.
