See LJS student Natasha’s work at Islington Contemporary Art and Design Fair
Advanced Jewellery Diploma graduate and London Jewellery School regular Natalia Markland will be exhibiting her jewellery at Islington Contemporary Art and Design Fair.
Natasha likes combining various jewellery techniques to express her ideas and thoughts. At the show she will be exhibiting her fine and sterling silver Highbury 2015 collection inspired by local parks and the spirit of Islington, as well as her experimentations with semi-precious stones and resin.
She also teaches jewellery to children, so at the exhibition you’ll have a chance to see five necklaces designed and created by five extremely talented 11-year old girls from her current group (more information about their work is available on Gill Wing blog). They will also share their unique stories behind each artwork.
The private view is on Friday the 27th of November from 5pm to 9pm, but also feel free to come on Saturday the 28th or Sunday the 29th of November, from 11am until 6pm. Entry is free. Natasha says: “Bring friends, relatives and your lovely children – we’ll have sweets for the younger visitors.”
The event is being held at the Candid Arts Centre, 3 Torrens Street, Angel, EC1V 1NQ
