Learn how to reuse reduce and recycle in this brand new course on how to keep the life of your sliver going so that nothing is wasted. Silver is a precious metal and is one of the only materials in the world that can be recycled time and time again without diminishing in value. In fact is is usually going up in value all the time!
Techniques covered in this class include:
- Meting down scrap metal
- Milling and refining metal to use again in the form of sheet, wire and granules
- Working with tools such as the crucible, rolling mills and metal forming tools
- Adding casting grain to maintain quality
- Best practices for creating a home set up to recycle your silver
Classes are very small with a maximum of 8 students allowing close attention from the tutor. A great day, packed full of techniques and you will have the chance to make 1-2 lovely pieces of jewellery from silver to take home with you.

As with all of our classes, all materials are included in the cost of the class as well as plenty of tea, coffee and snacks! The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable.
We take an hour break for lunch and there are plenty of local shops to get food from, or you can always bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio. If you have any questions regarding this, or other courses please don't hesitate to get in touch.
