Take your wax carving skills to the next level with this incredible course to make your own silver locket out of wax. 

This is a perfect follow on course for those who have taken our Wax Carving 1, 2 or 3 classes and are looking for a challenge. 

Throughout the day you will: 

• Work on your swing locket design and mark it out on your wax block 
• Use a combination of motor and hand tools to carve out the wax and create two matching parts. 
• Refine your finish and if there is time and you have the skills you may choose to add in extra design features or stone settings. 

This is a swing locket so does not include a hinge but if you have hinge making skills you may wish to add this into the design after casting. You can learn about hinge making in our cold connections class. 

By the end of the day, you will have the knowledge and experience to make your own wax swing lockets from home. Depending on your previous experience and speed of working you may or may not have completed your locket and will be able to get it cast into a metal of your choice and complete any final sanding at home with ease. 

This is an intermediate to advanced level class suitable for students who are confident in basic wax carving and looking to develop their skills in 3D shapes and more complex designs.
