How would you like to design jewellery with vibrant colours and embedded items?
Choose our 2-day resin class and you will have a chance to make a whole range of pieces including, rings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, earrings etc.. almost anything you can think of.
Resin is a form of plastic and is a fantastic material to work with as it is very affordable and so versatile. It comes in liquid form and this can be poured into moulds to make bangles, rings and more. You can also add colour to the resin and include other materials within it for example gold leaf and beads.
Techniques that will be covered include:
- Mould making
- Mixing resins from scratch
- Adding colour and tinting
- Designing pieces to make in resin
- Adding insertions such as glitter, feathers, charms, and other objects
- Sanding, polishing and buffing to give a professional finish
- Making finished pieces of jewellery
Resin is a great way of adding colour to your jewellery work including metal clay pieces, silver, gold and copper pieces as well as just creating solid resin pieces.
The types of resin we use in this class are non-toxic but if you have allergies or if you are pregnant you will have the option to wear a mask when polishing which we will provide.
This class is always very popular and places are limited so do book early to avoid disappointment.
Please note: this class runs for two consecutive days.
