Pantone colours of the year 2016 – rose quartz
Pantone are the self styled ‘global authority on color’ and their announcements are taken seriously in the fashion marketplace. The colours of the year for 2016 are rose quartz and serenity. Completing her look at the colours of the year LJS tutor Anna Campbell looks at some jewellery inspiration for the second of these colour trends.
The Pantone colour/s of the year are a result of research into trends in fashion and home interior design so it is worth being in the know about them.
But how can this trend translate into jewellery? In a previous post I shared some inspiration for the serenity colour. I’ve also been looking at inspirational designs using rose quartz which is a beautiful and affordable stone, whether in it’s raw state or faceted.
Have you used rose quartz in your jewellery making? We’d love to see your creations so please share them with us on instagram, twitter or facebook.
